Is better grain storage facility a need of the hour in India?

Authored by Jayaroopinni S.S.   The Kharif season has begun with the start of South West monsoon in India. Food security has been the subject of concern in India. T he government has achieved a record procurement of wheat ( 38.97 million tonnes ) and rice ( 50.5 million tonnes ) in the 2019-2020 season 1 . In spite of record-breaking procurements, India ranked 94 among 107 countries in the Global Hunger Index 2020 2 . Food and Agriculture Organisation of the UN ( FAO ) estimates that food loss and waste in India is at around 40% 3 . Hate BTS, Why?

Author - HARI RAAM    I've met several people who would laugh at K-Pop musicians, saying things like "they're girly" and "they look, homosexual." They misuse these terms in a derogatory manner, as well as insulting the music industry's hard work and talent as a whole.  BTS, a South Korean boy band, has become the face of the South Korean music industry and is largely responsible for its global success. There are two basic reasons for hatred. One is toxic masculinity, and the other is Asian hatred, both of which are completely unreasonable. I frequently encounter people w...

Authored by  Jayaroopinni S S Let’s start with some facts It is recognized that ‘Friendster’ was the first proper social media platform that came into existence on 2002 1 . Since then, we have seen a bunch of social media platforms being developed. Facebook has average of 1.88 billion daily users as of 2021 2 being the world’s largest social media platform. Instagram is a tremendously growing social media platform and the so-called Generation Z prefer apps over websites. A ‘social’ revolution Social media platforms (SMPs) have their own benefits of socializing with people. SMPs built an alternate world where even the introverts and reserved people have become extroverts by sharing their views, chatting and getting along with others virtually. We are seeing many options from sharing images, texts, creating open and closed groups, a 24-hour story or an IGTV whatever it may be, SMPs offer wide range of options for virtual social interaction with people. Many bloggers and in...
